The PCCA is a volunteer organization comprised of sportsmen and sportswomen from the local area. Formed in 1928 to promote and preserve our sporting heritage and wildlife. We raise money for conservation projects, wildlife college scholarships, and various adult and youth sporting programs. The Sportsman Show is NOT definitely cancelled but is put on hold until we can get a definite decision from the University of Maine which will be after the first of the year. Dinner Meeting- September 3, 2020 PCCA MEETING REQUIREMENTS: ALL MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING AND WHILE WALKING AROUND. THEY MAY BE TAKEN OFF WHILE SEETED. SANITIZING IS REQUIRED WHEN PURCHASING MEAL TICKETS AND WILL BE PROVIDED AT THE ENTRANCE. SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES (6 FEET DISTANCE). FOR MEMBERS OF FAMILY OR SAME HOUSEHOLD AND CLOSE FRIENDS WHO SOCIALIZE WITH EACH OTHER AND ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THEM MAY SIT TOGETHER. THE KITCHEN CREW WILL SERVE YOU WHEN PASSING THROUGH THE BUFFET LINE AND THEY WILL BE WEARING MASKS AND GLOVES. THE KITCHEN CREW MUST ALSO WEAR MASKS AND GLOVES WHILE WORKING AROUND FOOD AND ALL OTHER MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE KITCHEN. BECAUSE WE ARE LIMITED TO 50 PEOPLE TOTAL IN THE BUILDING WE ARE ASKING YOU TO OBTAIN RESERVATIONS FOR THE MEETING. RESERVE BY CALLING OR TEXTING NANCY AT 843-7270 OR BY EMAIL at nhatch44@gmail.com ACTION SHOOTING DEMONSTRATION On Thursday, September 3 rd , before our monthly supper, Charlie Rumsey will offer an explanation and demonstration of Cowboy Action Shooting. Members are invited to COWBOY observe (and participate) in this event at PCCA’s indoor range. Charlie will provide the targets, guns and ammo. This opportunity will be available from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM. This will be a 22 round course of fire. Come and try it out. NRA BASIC FIREARMS TRAINING Firearms sales in the U.S. are at an all time high. Many buyers have little or no training. PCCA will offer two courses of training: Basics of Pistol Shooting and Basics of Shotgun Shooting. These courses will be offered at below market prices and all proceeds will be donated to PCCA. Courses will include textbooks, ammunition and use of firearms. Charlie Rumsey will be the lead instructor for these classes. SPORTING CLAYS FUNDRAISER FOR BSA The Katahdin Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, will conduct a 16 station, 100 target Sporting Clays Shoot at the Hermon Skeet Club on Monday, September 14 th .
